BDP: Congratulations on being named to the McDonald's All-American team. Do you plan on participating
in any of the contests surrounding the game?
Thanks. Yea, I will be taking part in the three-point shooting contest.
BDP: Have you ever competed in a three-point shooting contest before?
No. But I plan on doing some practice using a ball rack between now & then.
BDP: Have you talked to Shaun (Livingston) about the McDonald's game?
Yea, we congratulated each other, but we haven't had a chance to talk about the game yet.
BDP: No dunking contest for you?
No. I think you can only enter one or the other, but not both the three-point contest &
the dunking contest.
BDP: Who is your favorite in the slam dunk contest?
Um, I think I would go with JR Smith. Josh Smith is a pretty good dunker, but I think JR has
a better variety of dunks. He can do some nasty stuff.
BDP: Who do you see as being your primary competition in the three-point contest? Shaun told
us that Daniel Gibson & Jordan Farmar would likely be your competition, would you agree?
I am not sure because I don't really know who else is going to be in it. Both of those guys
are pretty good shooters.
BDP: Have you heard from the Duke coaching staff since your selection to the McDonald's team?
Yea, they sent me a telegram congratulating me.
BDP: Are you planning on coming to Duke to start classes in June?
Yea, I think I have about 2 classes that I will be taking this summer. I am excited &
ready to get there.
BDP: You mentioned to us during another conversation that your high school team had some chemistry
issues. Have those issues been cleared up & how do you feel about your Sheldon team's prospects the rest of the season?
Yea, we got all those things straightened out. We are playing real well right now, which is
the perfect time of the year to be playing well. I have never won a state championship & would like to win one this year.
I feel pretty good about our chances this year.
